Military Day Well the 28th September 2002 arrived and thankfully the sun was shining. Off the girls set for Thetford forest with great trepidation. Would a day at the beach not be a better idea perhaps? Is it not too late to cancel? What would the day hold? Would we all arrive back in one piece? Upon arrival we were welcomed with a cuppa and a bacon sandwich, obviously to build up the stamina. It soon became apparent that we, as females, were definately the minority. Only 6 girls in total amongst 40 strapping fellas. I think it was at this point that we began to feel a challenge coming on .........

First off the mark was Jane with the clay pigeon shooting and, boy, could you tell she had held a gun before!

And then for the mini-digger. Watch out R & D......

After a hearty lunch it was off for a bit of armed combat...

What could the two Sharons be planning here?

Whatever it was, it worked!

|
The highlight of the day had to be tank driving.

The archery was tremendous fun. Sharon Hall was definately the star of this activity - beating all the fellas hands down. But unfortunately she does have the bruises to prove it.....

Four very tired young ladies at the end of an extremely challenging day. A good time had been had by all. So now off home for a nice hot bath and a stiff drink. What could be the next challenge, I wonder?
